First training session (Open)

Alyssa swung her sword, walking into the arena. She looked around for any other campers that might be awake at this time of evening, soon she would go to the campfire where she would just sit there as she always did. Well, at least, recently, ever since Zack and Quintyn left she didn't have many friends at camp, so she just sat at the campfire talking to no one, the outcast Athena girl, while every other girl talked about cute guys in the fighting arena, what the latest was in the Aphrodite Cabin drama, and all that other gossip junk. She often thought about this.

I'm getting off track. I'm supposed to be fighting here, not feeling sorry for myself. She thought, spotting a guy in front of a training dummy.
"You want a real experience and gain some real skills?" She asked him, although she had no idea who this guy was. "You want to fight?"

"Don't worry, I'm not one of those war-hungry Ares kids, it's not like I'm gonna slice your head off." She said. "I could teach you a few tricks with a sword first, if you wanted. There's several that come in handy when it comes to fighting different people and monsters."

"Don't worry about it, all of these movements will come naturally soon enough and you'll become a great swordfighter. Just remember that your best tool is the element of surprise." Alyssa said. She waited a few seconds, the slashed in at the guy's side, of course where part of his armor was so it wouldn't be painful or anything.
"Always focus on your opponent, and study his or her movements. Don't always be on attack mode, make sure you take a second to parry and defend the attacks towards you. If you don't, you'll get tired and your enemy can always find a way to slash where you aren't defending." She advised, her sword across her torso to defend.

Alyssa stumbled back a few steps, almost wobbling and falling down. "Nice one," She commented as she studied his muscle movements for a moment. She didn't mean to be prideful, but too much pride came with the package of being an Athena kid- not every other demigod cabin had the quick flexibility and ability to devise battle plans at a moment's notice like her half-siblings. She slashed at the boy's wrist in hopes of knocking his sword out of his hand- seeing a sword slash to your hand would make one drop the sword and move your hand away as quickly as possible. Alyssa made sure not to actually make strong contact to his wrist, if she did, any blade would have taken off the guy's hand.

"Nice one," Alyssa commented as her shining silver blade clanged loudly against his. She quickly then switched to defense as her sword pressed against her chest and torso, waiting for an attack as her mind raced for ways to surprise the quick and stealthy opponent.

Her sword quickly flew up to hit against his sword, and she tried my best to move out of the way if he sliced again, Alyssa struck towards his breastplate area. She started to sweat a little- not thinking it was gross, but somehow it was annoying when you slow down because of energy loss and sweat. She hadn't slowed down yet, but soon enough she would.

Alyssa walked back a little. "Uh...sorry..."She apologized quickly, shifting to defense and waiting for an attack as her sparring partner got up.
